Preparation and cook: approx 30 minutes
Method:
- Place the onion in
a frying pan with 1/4pt/142ml water, bring to the boil and cook
for 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft and the water has evaporated.
- Add 1 tsp oil to
the onion, cook over a high heat for 5 minutes until golden. Add
the soy sauce and cook, stirring, for 1 minute until deep golden.
- Brush the steaks
with the rest of the oil and season to taste. Heat a griddle pan,
then add the steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until
cooked through.
- Lightly toast the
Nimble. Place 4 slices on a work surface and top with a layer
of tomato and watercress. Top with a piece of steak and a pile
of onions, cover with the remaining slices of Nimble and serve.
