| Europe's
leading budget travel website, WhichBudget,
has just launched the Catalan version of its highly successful website.
WhichBudget has compiled
a selection of over 80 airlines, flying to and from hundreds of
different airports throughout Europe and the World. With over 6000
routes, it is the most comprehensive website of its kind. Travellers
can either choose their preferred departure airport and get a list
of all the destinations various budget airlines fly to or, alternatively,
they can pick a destination to see who flies there and from where.
The site is multilingual, operating in 13 languages, now including
Catalan and Spanish.
To find out which budget
airline flies from your local airport or to your favourite destination,
visit www.whichbudget.com, featuring over 80 budget airlines and
hundreds of destinations, all on one site.
"Most budget-conscious
travellers can only name 2-3 low-cost airlines," says Martino Matijevic,
WhichBudget's Managing Director. "To take Barcelona as an example,
there are actually 20 budget carriers flying to the Catalan capital.
The airline industry has recently seen an explosion of budget airlines
and the idea behind WhichBudget is to speed up the process of searching
for cheap flights by bringing all these airlines under one roof.
We are not interested in temporary special discounts, but in genuine,
no-frills cheap flights. Our ultimate goal is to compile a database
of all the routes served by every European no-frills airline."
According to WhichBudget's
Catalan Co-ordinator, Noemi Lorente, there are 11 million Catalan
speakers in Europe, throughout Catalunya, Valencia, the Balearics,
Andorra and parts of France and Italy. Miss Lorente notes: "This
is an important market for both leisure and business travel, as
well as the Catalan-speaking community visiting friends and family.
We are proud to be able to make WhichBudget more accessible by addressing
these travellers in Catalan, recognising the importance of the Catalan
language and culture."
