Travelling
with children can be a stressful experience. With all the extra
luggage you need to carry, you may feel like you need an extra hand
to round up the kids! Once you do manage to check in your luggage
you're then faced with the task of keeping the kids entertained
and under control until you reach your destination!
A recent survey by Gulf
Air revealed just how stressful we find travelling with children.
31% said the hassle of travelling with children deters them from
flying long haul and 16% said it deters them from flying all together!
Of those that do fly with children, 68% said their greatest concern
is keeping them occupied during the flight. 20% also worry that
their child will upset other passengers by crying or misbehaving.
It also appears that
we're not very tolerant of others travelling with children. The
majority of those surveyed (48%) said they find noisy or badly behaved
babies or children the most irritating thing about flying. Perhaps
it's not surprising then that 44% of people said they would welcome
an in-flight assistant to look after children during a flight -
then both parents and fellow passengers can enjoy their journey!
However,
don't fear as help is at hand for stressed out parents - and irritated
fellow passengers! Gulf Air, which flies to 45 exotic destinations,
including the only non-stop flights from Heathrow to Muscat, Oman,
operates the only Sky Nanny service in the industry! Professionally-trained
Sky Nannies ensure that parents get a much needed break during a
long flight from boarding to disembarking by helping to keep under-12s
occupied throughout the flight.
So with the stress taken
out of your journey you can look forward to where you're going rather
than worrying about how you're going to get there! Oman has been
tipped as the hot new country on the scene this year. Though the
Gulf may seem an unlikely choice for a holiday abroad it's gaining
popularity as a key holiday destination. For more information visit
