Cancer prevention charity
World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) has launched a collection of
tasty new recipes in a new booklet that focuses on comfort eating
- giving top tips on how to turn traditional feasts into both satisfying
and nutritious meals.
When we think of comfort
foods we often think of bangers and mash, stew and dumplings or
treacle sponge pudding, but these are often fat-laden and can lead
to weight gain and poor health. The idea behind WCRF UK’s new 20-page
booklet is to provide healthy alternatives to these dishes, but
still keep that comfort food look and feel.
So why not try vegetarian
rainbow chilli - a delicious alternative to traditional chilli and
it’s entirely plant based, making it a great health-boosting meal!
Or how about walnut cabbage and fancy mash – easy-to-make and extremely
nutritious!
If you would like a
FREE copy of the new ‘Comfort Foods’ booklet please send an A5 SAE
marked ‘Comfort Foods’ to WCRF UK, 19 Harley Street, London, W1G
9QJ.
