One
in three people in the UK will develop an allergy at some point
in their life. One in thirteen adults and one in eight children
already have asthma. Our product can contribute towards eliminating
the symptoms that make these people's lives a misery - Essa.
Essa air cleaners, which
carry the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval, are one of
the only ways to reduce and even eliminate the triggers of asthma
and allergies in the home. Without such products, the number of
sufferers and the cost to the National Health Service will rocket.
The revolutionary air
cleaners work to reduce the triggers of asthma and allergies within
the home, such as bacteria, fungi, mould, dust mites and cigarette
smoke by up to 95%, therefore significantly reducing the risk of
an attack.
Unlike conventional
HEPA filters, found in most air cleaners, which fill up with pollutants
and become inefficient over time, Essa cleaners attract airborne
particles and polarise them, leaving nothing to block the filter
or pollute the air.
The Essa products were
conceived in Canada, where they are now officially recognised by
the Canadian Health Board and are available to patients by prescription.
Dianne White, managing
director for Essa EU, explains, "Our air cleaners don't just clean
the air, they change people's lives. For someone with allergies
or severe asthma, clean air in their home environment can improve
their standard of living beyond belief. Millions of dollars, which
would have been wasted on other asthma and allergy treatments, have
already been saved in Canada, the US and Australasia, as these air
cleaners are given to sufferers on prescription through the health
service. We now aim to do the same for our National Health Service
in this country."
The NHS is currently
spending a staggering £900 million per annum on allergy care and
£850 million on asthma treatment. An Essa filter costs as little
as £295, which to the sufferer or the NHS is a small price to pay.
Dianne's long term goal
is for each asthma or allergy sufferer in the UK to have the opportunity
to receive an Essa air cleaner on prescription. She says, "The Royal
College of Physicians have confirmed that the UK's GPs are undisputedly
ill-trained to deal with asthma and allergy sufferers. If Essa air
cleaners become available by prescription, both time and money would
be saved, and patients will receive the improved quality of life
they deserve."
The British Allergy
Foundation is already backing the cleaners, and leading medical
researchers, including the New Royal College of Physicians, have
agreed in a recent report that, "Allergy services in the NHS are
totally inadequate and cannot cope with the rising amount and increasing
severity of allergy in the UK."
In addition to the traditional
filter, a revolutionary bio filter is available, which incorporates
Tea Tree Oil. Tests on Tea Tree Oil prove that it provides additional
protection against mould and fungi, which is especially beneficial
for those with compromised immune systems or severe allergic reactions
to black mould.
Essa air cleaners are
available from Harrod's, Selfridges and Lloyd's Pharmacies nationwide.
