This is a truly gorgeous book, full of light and movement and optimism.
Billy has grown a sunflower - it's taller than he is. But as the days grow shorter, it begins to fade. What will happen to it? And how will Billy cope?

He does of course - and it's to this book's credit that it cuts no corners in dealing with a tricky subject. Nicola Moon's simple text conjures up a world of emotion in a few pages. Although it can be read simply as the story of Billy and his flower, this book could easily have a place in helping a child overcome feelings of grief in any situation of loss and bereavement.
