Stuck for ideas of what
to do with your kids this summer? Are you looking for something
that’s fun-packed that will feed their imagination and expand their
minds? Look no further…Robinsons Fruit & Barley has teamed up with
the Science Museum to create ‘Robinsons Fruit & Barley Bright Ideas’,
a competition for budding young inventors.
Robinsons Fruit & Barley
is challenging kids to invent anything at all that will make life
easier for them or their family. Whether they invent a machine that
takes the dog for a walk, a robot that does homework or an instant
ice cream maker for their bedroom
they will soon be enthralled in the mind blowing world of inventions.
Always a favourite, Robinsons
Fruit & Barley is set to become even more popular! Winners
from each age group (7-10 and 11-14 years) will get a top prize
of 500 to spend at the Science Museum, where they can get loads
of goodies, including a potato-powered clock, super inventors kit
or even a camera watch. The winners will also have his or her invention
displayed at the Science Museum and will win a VIP trip to London
for themselves and their family. There will also be ten runners-up
prizes of £20 to spend at the Science Museum.
Here are some weird and
wacky ideas to give them a helping hand:
- an umbrella to wear
on the head
- a robot that does
the ironing
- a portable seat that
ties around the waist
- a dog walking machine!
Taking part is really
easy! All you have to do is pick up a bright and funky entry form
for your child at a Sainsbury’s store near you (from 21st August)
or log onto the Robinsons Fruit & Barley Bright Ideas website (www.genius-at-work.com)
to download an entry form. Then get your kids to draw their invention
with a description of what it does, for their chance to get their
name in the history books.
With so many great things
in store, it’s clear to see why Robinsons is an ingenious choice
for budding young inventors everywhere!
