And for the younger ones...

Wide Eye
This new series is set in the magical world of the Natterjack Forest. It is home to some unusual animal characters such as the lovable and enthusiastic baby owl, Little Hoot; his bright and energetic best friend, Flea; arch mischief maker Wily Komodo and the watchful and protective guardian owl, Wide Eye.

Natterjack Forest is a world where joys are shared and wishes fulfilled, where lessons are learned and caution gently administered. Each episode has a theme and deals with a social message or development topic for pre-school children from friendship and sharing to cultural differences and bullying.

But the emphasis is still on fun! The animation series features lots of humour, mischief, imagination, adventures, strong stories and music. It has lots of other colourful characters to add to the entertainment of the young viewers as they learn more about growing up in the world they live in.

Wide Eye is co-produced by the BBC with King Rollo Films. WK39 on BBC TWO.

Koala Brothers
Frank and Buster are new stars to CBeebies. These gallant heroes are koala bears whose mission in life is to fly around the Australian outback in their little yellow plane looking for people who need their help.

The brothers live alongside two of their friends at the "homestead", Ned the Wombat and Mitzi the Possum. Ned is a young creature of habit who has to hop-scotch and wipe his feet on his welcome mat whenever he goes in or out of his caravan home whilst Mitzi flops around in her bright green flip-flops giving her opinion whether it's wanted or not.

The koalas believe that everybody is special and that everybody needs a friend. As Frank starts up the plane and shouts "chocks away" a new adventure is about to begin.

Koala Brothers is on CBeebies, Monday to Friday at 8.35am from Monday 1 September.

Sergeant Stripes
In a little quiet village there is a police station. PC Harker and Sergeant Parker run the station which it has to be said is not very busy as there's hardly any crime there. Every day Harker's daughter Katie visits her dad and also feeds the station's other inhabitant, a kitten called Stripes.

Stripes has an overactive imagination and as he listens to the police officer's conversations Stripes snoozes off into his own imaginary world of Sergeant Stripes. In his dreamworld Stripes has a team of crime busting helpers, his toys. There's Inspector Hector the bumbling teddy who issues the orders, Arabella the giraffe who's prone to worry and panic, Fluffy the enthusiastic but naïve mouse, Andy the trusty police car and Mike the bike who has seen better days!

Every episode the team find a mystery to try and solve such as the missing button which leads to a full-scale button hunt and whilst no button is found Arabella gets stuck on the canal and needs the brave Fluffy to rescue her! Whilst the team's intentions are honourable they often get distracted in their adventures and rarely solve a mystery - but they do have lots of fun!

Sergeant Stripes starts on CBeebies at 8.50am every week day from Monday 1 September.
